With the first month of 2017 underway, the Creation team has already been up to some exciting innovations and we take pleasure in sharing the latest culinary adventure with you.
Our Swiss friends Cynthia Lauper and Marc Joshua Engel recently visited Creation. Marc is the executive chef at Aux Trois Amis, a restaurant in Schernelz overlooking the lake of Biel in Switzerland where he and Cynthia run the show. Cynthia, a trained chef and sommelier, manages the front of house. She is the daughter of Daniel Lauper who is an incredible chef, and we have known her since the days she did an internship under Horst Frehse at the Grande Roche in Paarl, South Africa.
In June 2016 Marc, Cynthia and Daniel took over Aux Trois Amis where he constantly strives “to expand my guests’ culinary horizons with new interpretations”.
Creation of course is renowned for catering for a variety of dietary and lifestyle preferences and during his visit Marc was kind enough to share some of his vegan secrets with the Creation Culinary Team. This resulted in an exciting and delightful menu with each course beautifully paired with a Creation wine. The Creation Culinary Team looks forward to expanding their repertoire to tempt and delight our vegan visitors.
We’re delighted to announce that the amount needed to purchase a school bus for transporting our children has been raised. As from the beginning of the new school year 80 kids will be travelling in style! A big thanks once again to those supporting our project. But the story does not end here. We are in dire need of nine toddler and five baby seats. If you are able to assist in this matter please contact Elizabeth Naude from Pebbles Project at firstname.lastname@example.org.

What can I say. I am not easily impressed but this time it is full marks to Creation restaurant. We made a booking and visited over the insanely busy Christmas-New Years week and they managed to keep our party of thirteen all happy as the same time. This was not a small task as the ages ranged from 6 years to 83 years! We opted for the tasting and pairing menu and even though the course might look small, no-one was hungry by the end. The wine keep flowing and even the coffee at the end was included. The staff were endlessly patient with all of our requests, from fussy children to impatient adults alike. They prices may seem steep it’s worth every cent.
Why you should go:
-The staff excel at hospitality and patience!
-Great food and in season
-Super wines -Child-friendly
-Lovely setting and buildings
-This place seems to care about its customers and staff
-Filtered, bottled water served on the table (I presume it’s their own).
I can’t fault anything here. Only wished I had allowed us more time for the meal which flew by and then we had to leave with our pre-booked friendly taxi from Hermanus. Well done Creation overall.

A must visit for the wine connoisseur and food lover. Creation is getting it right in a big big way. Prices is very good. Food to die for. And a wine selection to cater for anyone’s needs. Attention to detail is the norm. Riedel glasses in the right shape to match each individual wine. Cutlery and plates not the ordinary. The venue also perfect. Philip, our waiter… You are passionate man!
