As a member of the Biodiversity in Wine Initiative (BWI) and accredited by the IPW (Integrated Production of Wine)
scheme, Creation’s commitment to the environment and respect for the land which is home to its vineyards is expressed
in every bottle. This effort to minimise our impact on the incredible biodiversity of our surrounds extends to the cellar itself
which melds into the hill above the dam, the earth insulating one side of the building. The abundance of the fynbos plant
kingdom is on display in the beautiful gardens that welcome visitors to our tasting room.
The tasting room has grown quickly from modest beginnings and is now established as a top cellar door experience offering a number
of exceptional food and wine pairing options as well as high quality charcuterie and cheese platters and a seasonal à la carte menu.
Over 1 290 wine pairing canapé platters emerged from the kitchen at Creation last month and chef Warwick Taylor can proudly boast
that many of the ingredients he uses are from local producers.
Adamskloof Olive Oil
When it comes to the creation of their Extra Virgin Olive Oil, brothers Johann and André Raats take no short cuts. Meticulous care,
from nurturing the trees and harvesting the olives on the farm adjacent to our Pinot Noir block to the final bottling, ensures superior
On Camphill Farm at the entrance to our scenic Hemel-en-Aarde Wine Route a delicious range of health breads are produced, using
stone-ground flour. The bakery is also famous for its granola, rye and wheat rusks.
Another neighbour of Creation, Cordale boasts ideal conditions for the production of export quality apples such as Braeburn, Royal
Gala, Pink Lady, Sundowners and Granny Smith.
Glen Oaks Farm
Owner Charlie Crowther’s philosophy of farming is to raise happy pigs that graze on open pastures and forage under oak forests. Their
natural, active lifestyle reflects his ethical farming practices and their diet, supplemented by acorns, ensures a flavoursome product.
Little Oaks Farm
Practising sustainable farming, this family run farm in Villiersdorp grows up to 45 different fruits and vegetables, mainly for the export
market. Established in 1977, the farm employs some 80 workers.
South Africa’s first large-scale gourmet mushroom producer is renowned for the excellent quality of its exotic mushrooms. Renewable,
natural resources are used for the spawning and growth and the fresh mushrooms are harvested daily from the Nouvelle farm in the
Overberg Honey Company
This buzzing beekeeping business in nearby Stanford is the source of Creation’s precious bee pollen, renowned as Nature’s ‘Fountain
of Youth’. Don’t miss out on our chef’s delectable Honey and Rosemary Crème Brûlée which topped with granules of bee pollen, is
truly awesome paired with the Creation Chardonnay.
Richard Bosman’s Quality Cured Meats
This highly rated charcuterie has its origin in Hermanus where Richard first started experimenting with free-range pork supplied by a
friend. He has since made it his mission to perfect his craft and today enjoys an enviable reputation for top quality charcuterie,
created in time-honoured Italian and Spanish traditions.
