Creation Wines has been dedicated to supporting the arts ever since its inception in 2002. Now the team looks forward to participating in the 2017 Hermanus FynArts Festival which takes place from 9 to 18 June 2017. The festival, an all-encompassing fair of visual arts, literature, music and award-winning food and wine, is now in its fifth year and promises to be yet another glittering success.
Hermanus FynArts is hosted in assorted venues in and around the coastal town of Hermanus – one of them being Creation Wines where the estate will be showcasing a truly exciting installation of sculptures by the South African artist, Willie Botha.

Creation on the Move
We’re spending a few days in Burgundy to better understand this iconic region known as the ‘cradle of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir’. Our trip kicked off with a visit to some of the lesser known appellations in the south – Pouilly-Loché, Moulin-a-Vent and the greater Mâconnais to name but a few. Day two involved the exploration of Mercurey and the tiny area of Bouzeron. It is clear that although these areas have rich, impressive histories of wine they definitely did not evolve to become something of uniformity or predictability. Every conceivable setup and philosophy is to be found – from examples like the Devillard family who have been producing wine here since the 11th Century, to newcomers to the game, like Xavier Moissenet whose first vintage was in 2014. Pair the wine experience with visits to some of Burgundy’s most exciting new restaurants and you have the makings of an unforgettable vinous adventure.
Situated some 18 km from the coastal resort of Hermanus, Creation is more than a wine farm; it is a glorious destination where a warm welcome awaits young and old. Click here to make a reservation. Here are some comments recently made by our visitors:
We booked for Saturday lunch for my daughter’s & my joint birthday lunch. We all decided on the 8 course Tapas & Wine Pairing, Every course was exquisite, mouthwatering & so well presented. We finished with a bottle of Bubbly & Creation chocolates. A fabulous day out.
This is my second visit to the restaurant at Creation and I was just as wowed this time as before. The wine is great, the food is delicious and the staff are truly excellent…
