Since lockdown commenced Creation co-owners Jean-Claude (JC) and Carolyn Martin have been regular participants in webinars, Zoom conferences and radio interviews aimed at keeping wine lovers informed. “We are presently planning to create online chat spaces for clients who would like to visit us virtually and will be running this platform from 10 am to 5 pm every day,” says Carolyn. The estate is furthermore exploring more contact with its overseas agents and clients through online discussions, including the delivery of wine samples for virtual tastings.
The team will also be doing online virtual tastings with Corporates and Virtual Conferences as part of entertaining their delegates. Pairings from the Creation Pantry will be on offer.
While all the above is happening, the Creation team has set up a new sculpture installation by Janko de Beer. It is titled ‘Metamorphosis’ which Carolyn says is their interpretation of moving from an era past to a period which will have a very different future. The exhibition opens on 28 May.
There is also a treat in store for food and wine writers. The estate will be sending out post lockdown ‘Creation Care’ packages with tasting notes on Creation wines. Interested food and wine journalists are welcome to contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
