The perfect Pinot Noir, how would one describe it?
Flamboyant and berry rich yet elegant with delicate tannins and earthy tones of forest floor, this Prince of Reds has captured the affections of many since its earliest mention in 1395.
It is a well-known fact that the Hemel-en-Aarde with its cool climate and clay-rich soils is eminently suited to the cultivation of top quality Pinot Noir. And every year the producers join forces to celebrate their love for this highly revered cultivar. The seventh Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noir Celebration – aptly titled ‘Under Pinot Skies’ – takes place on the 24th and 25th of January and promises to be yet another highlight on the wine calendar.
