The name ‘Creation’ is synonymous with nature, innovation and sustainability. What a pleasure to bring you Kathy Robins’ exhibition, RE-TURN, as well as our latest Wine and Food Pairing menu, titled Return to Nature.

Creation is honoured to collaborate with the celebrated and inspirational artist, Kathy Robins, on this solo exhibition. Especially since we share a mutual respect and concern for, and interaction with our natural environment. Kathy’s practice, which bridges the fields of fine art and sustainable social development, resonates with the emphasis we place on sustainability within our context. RE-TURN offers the opportunity to consider, listen to, absorb and think about just that: sustainability and perceptions of nature and community.

From my point of view, art has always been an expression of the times we live in. What matters most to each of us and how each of us matters in the world, is of the utmost significance. This corresponds directly with Kathy’s exploration of our relationship with our environment, home and community as reflected in her art.

Both visual and performance art have been an integral part of my life, growing up in a creative family and having studied at Michaelis School of Fine Art. I have always been inspired by artists’ lives and am particularly fascinated by how, when touched by their art, they take us from mere survival mode to an elevated state of appreciation and wonder.

Kathy Robins’ love of our local environment and her connection to local communities fit perfectly into the Creation Experience. And her residing in Hemel-en-Aarde meant it would only be a matter of time before we met and were able to see how many ideas we had in common. What a pleasure to present this shared vision to our guests!

And that’s not all … Our special room for kids is newly stocked with irresistible ‘feel and touch’ toys to tickle the little ones’ fancy and keep them entertained at table while you enjoy your meal.
