Reflecting on a Year of Connection
As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on a year of connection: between harvest and hospitality, people and place, love and celebration. Please click here for our in-depth annual overview.
From a harvest that asked for sensitivity, patience and courage to the seasonal pairings, the travels and encounters, the awards and collaborations, the friendships and memories, everything comes back to one thing: Creation’s sense of place in the Hemel‑en‑Aarde Ridge, this distinctive meeting point of ocean, mountains, fynbos, vineyards and people.
We thank you for making this sense of place part of your own story – for walking the vineyards in your imagination, for tasting the Ridge in your glass, and for carrying Creation into your homes, travels and conversations.
We also invite you to choose your next chapter with Creation, whether you return to explore the Power of Love summer pairing menu, wander through the fynbos, or simply sit on the terrace and watch the light move across the mountains and vineyards. Whatever you choose, may your time at Creation leave you feeling calm, cared for, curious, connected and uplifted, and may the spirit of the Hemel‑en‑Aarde Ridge travel with you into the year ahead.
Carolyn and JC Martin were recently in London to present Creation’s new releases alongside a spectacular vertical of back vintages, and we’re thrilled that our Chardonnays and Pinots have received stunning ratings from Greg Sherwood, a London-based South African Master of Wine, specialist fine wine buyer, consultant, judge and columnist.
While no wine received less than 94 points, we’re particularly delighted with the following ratings:
96+ points: Creation Art of Chardonnay 2024 (‘beautiful tension and restraint that will slowly unfurl over the coming years’)
96 points: Creation Glenn’s Chardonnay 2023 (‘a really beautiful expression of premium cool climate Chardonnay’), Creation Glenn’s Chardonnay 2024 (‘a wine with superb complexity’), Creation Art of Chardonnay 2020 (‘astonishing wine’), Creation Art of Pinot Noir 2024 (‘superb’)
95+ points: Creation Art of Chardonnay 2023 (‘a wine with such presence and pedigree’), Creation Glenn’s Chardonnay 2021 (‘still an inner tension in the wine but drinking beautifully now’), Creation Emma’s Pinot Noir 2024 (‘simply stunning and super serious expression’)
95 points: Creation Art of Chardonnay 2022 (‘a taut, focused tightly wound wine’), Creation Art of Pinot Noir 2023 (‘a wine looking forward to 10+ years of age ability’)
