Festive Season Reflections

We find ourselves reflecting with gratitude on a joyous and successful festive season at Creation.

Over the past few weeks, we welcomed back many repeat visitors and made countless new connections, with almost 700 guests enjoying our Summer Pairing Menu (appropriately named Connect @ Creation).

‘What a wonderful experience shared with family at Creation today,’ wrote Pam Duffy in her five-star Google review. ‘Thank you to the wonderful staff for your impeccable service!’

‘Possibly the best wine experience I have had,’ shared @6778jag. ‘A fantastic dining and tasting experience.’

‘Excellent for lunch,’ wrote Unog477 from Norway on Tripadvisor. ‘Had the full wine and food experience and tasted 12 wines and 7 dishes. All had Michelin quality. Very nice staff!’

John M from Cape Town reported that even after about 20 visits, his interest is retained. ‘We usually go to Creation for special occasions and with friends, especially those from overseas. The garden, views and restaurant are superb. The world-class wines cover most palates, from the enthusiast to the obsessive, and the menu (which changes often) is always worth the trip. You can just order à la carte, but you do miss a bit of theatre from the super staff if you do. Several of my overseas friends are “Michelin munchers” and they just said “wow”.’

Last but not least, after describing Creation as ‘spectacular’ and our food as ‘amazing, Cultivate Gardens Cambridge highlighted the fact that the menu is ‘very vegetarian and vegan friendly’.

In fact, our new Summer Pairing Menu is about 80% plant-based, and we’re exceptionally proud to be proving even to sceptics that ‘health food’ can be delicious, exquisitely plated, fine-dining cuisine. How do we do it? Our long-time culinary collaborator Nicola Cunningham, a Cordon Bleu-trained chef with qualifications in Natural Medicine and Herbalism, chats about the creative process in

the short video below.

A heartfelt thank-you to our team, our partners, and each and ever visitor who made the festive season such a special one.

What's Happening at Creation

Incase you missed this last week

    Our First Home

Looking ahead, our theme for 2025 is Culture in Agriculture, and we would like to set the scene by inviting you to watch this remarkable short film about the environments and resources associated with the emergence of behaviourally modern humans (i.e. us) on the south coast of the Cape Floristic Region. As humans, it was Our First Home, and we feel incredibly blessed that Creation Wines can still call it home.

Apart from anything else, the film makes it abundantly clear why our chefs are able to source almost all of our food ingredients from within an 80km radius of the estate.
