Our film #VinetoWine was selected among 378 entries from 59 countries around the world to receive a gold award at the 5th edition of the International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA). Well done to Chris Aupiais, our videographer and movie editor, and of course also to our vineyard and cellar teams who inspired this wonderful film.
Another goal on our Pebbles Hemel-en-Aarde wish list was recently achieved with the opening of the Pebbles Skills Development Centre for youth. It was established in what was previously an onion storage shed and 20 young adults from neighbouring farms will now benefit from the skills development and training on offer. We foresee this project changing the lives of hundreds of young people in the Hemel-en-Aarde.
Construction began in February thanks to funding from Rotary Hermanus, Rotary International, McFarlane Family Foundation and Felix Loose. A hearty thank you also to Alan Winde, the Western Cape Government and all the donors looking after the future of our community.
