Across two continents, our Creation team has been bringing our 2025 theme of ‘Connect, Collaborate and Innovate’ to vibrant life. Our simultaneous global activities showcase not just our exceptional wines, but our philosophy that transcends borders.

In Durban, Joy Fortuin and Salome Geldenhuys represented our winery at the prestigious Tourism Indaba, one of Africa’s leading travel trade shows. Between meeting Agriculture Minister Ivan Meyer and dining at Grimaldi’s with the charismatic Ndumiso, they expanded our footprint beyond the traditional tasting room experience. As Joy reflected, stepping beyond the familiar pushed her into ‘meaningful dialogues that broadened our reach and deepened our impact’.

Meanwhile, Pamela Gordon journeyed to Zimbabwe for a significant wine event hosted by The Stable Winery, our local distributor. Engaging with 150-200 attendees across the two-day event, she built crucial brand visibility while strengthening our trade relationships. Upon returning home, she seamlessly transitioned to overseeing our international shipments to the Netherlands and Maldives while supporting tasting room operations.

Our co-founder and cellarmaster JC captivated audiences across Gauteng and Pretoria with specialised trade master classes and a successful wine club tasting. His engaging approach perfectly embodied the ‘collaborate and innovate’ aspects of our mission, sharing knowledge while creating memorable experiences for our trade partners and enthusiasts alike.

Across the globe in London, Carolyn and Emma visited The Percy Arms and connected with our Hallgarten & Novum distribution team. Our participation in Tim Atkin’s The Best of South Africa tasting was particularly remarkable, attracting over 500 attendees split between trade professionals and enthusiastic consumers. It was heartwarming to see so many members of our extended Creation community there—longtime supporters and friends who have been part of our journey over the years, all gathered to celebrate South African wine excellence.

At 67 Pall Mall, we met with Queena Wong, whose Curious Vines project champions inclusion, diversity, and women in wine—values that align perfectly with our own ethos. Our London journey culminated at High Timber with the Benchmark Blind tasting organised by the Chardonnay Association of South Africa, where we engaged with influential wine journalists including Jancis Robinson, Julie Shepard, Jamie Goode, and Tim Atkin.

While our team members travelled the globe, the heart of Creation continued beating strongly on our Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. Our vineyard team prepared land for new plantings, our cellar staff carefully tended barrels, and our herb garden team worked with the seasons to maintain the farm-to-table philosophy that makes our culinary offerings so distinctive. Our partnership with the Pebbles Project extends this commitment to sustainability into community engagement.

Our kitchen and tasting room teams continued crafting memorable experiences for visitors while preparing to launch our innovative winter menu, further demonstrating our commitment to excellence and evolution.

What makes these diverse activities so impressive is how perfectly they align with our vision. Each of our team members, whether in Durban, Zimbabwe, Pretoria, London, or at home, connects with clients and industry professionals, collaborates across borders, and innovates in presenting our exceptional wines and experiences.

To everyone who shared a moment, a conversation, or a glass with us this past week—whether at our tasting room in South Africa, our wine event in Zimbabwe, our trade masterclass in Pretoria, or our benchmark tasting in London—we offer our heartfelt appreciation. These connections are the foundation of everything we do at Creation. As we continue expanding our global footprint while nurturing our roots at home, we remain committed to building meaningful relationships that transform wine lovers into lifelong friends on this extraordinary journey.
