Your journey begins at sea level and winds upward through one of the most naturally beautiful stretches of the Western Cape – a quiet prelude to what follows. On arrival, nature offers its spectacular greeting: an amphitheatre of towering mountain peaks, undulating hills of flourishing fynbos, and nestled between them, our vineyards. The Ridge holds its breath. And something in you softens.
Our sommeliers will guide you through our cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir – grown in the smallest, highest and coolest ward of the Hemel-en-Aarde, shaped by ancient Bokkeveld shale, Table Mountain sandstone and seams of quartz. Each course of our six-course winter menu, ‘Walking in the Spirit of Creation’, is an invitation to use your senses differently – to hear the ocean in a shell from Walker Bay, to feel ancient stone in your palm, to understand where these wines come from, not just in your mind, but also in your body.
