Creation Wines is located in the heart of South Africa’s Cape Floral Kingdom, the wine region with the richest biodiversity in the world. We live and breathe this diversity on the estate, which is situated on the Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven-and-Earth) Ridge, and have pledged to preserve this natural environment for generations to come. 

From inception, we planted virus-free Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in ancient soils, hundreds of millions of years old, with ideal growing conditions, benefiting from altitude and the proximity of the cold Atlantic Ocean. We use science to understand nature better, and this is the inspiration and innovation that is Creation. Creation stands for wine innovation that transforms agriculture for people, nature and climate. 

Ensuring that our unique ecosystem survives and also thrives under our custodianship demands sound practices. We evolve our farming and winemaking practices based on the findings of scientific research, all aimed at ensuring the continued production of exceptional, terroir-expressive wines for our consumers. 

Inspired by the saying ‘what grows together goes together’, our commitment to sustainability in all that we do is symbiotic, and it encompasses who we choose to engage with, in business, in the development of our Creation people, and in our community. Our wine and wellness programme starts with our environment (from our virus-free mother blocks, which now provide the wine industry with clean planting material, to our cellar practices), and the physical and mental well-being of our team, extended community, and guests. Guests are part of our innovation hub simply by being exposed to our changing seasonal menus, for which 80% of ingredients are sourced from within an 80km radius. We also use elements from our immediate surroundings, such as indigenous plants, rocks and shells, to heighten their tasting experience and knowledge of our wine’s characteristics and production. We want our guests to feel a profound connection with our terroir and an eternal sense of belonging with Creation. In turn, guests’ engagement with our brand often assists us with the development of our team and our community.
