Let’s Play Cricket! Tour and Tasting in the Away Dressing Room at Lord’s

Cricket and gastronomy have a long cultural connection, just as South Africa has with Lord’s – proof is in the number of South Africans mentioned on the Honours Boards for Test Centuries and Test Bowling in the Away Dressing Room.

I had the privilege of introducing Creation Wines to the team at Lord’s, home to Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), and meeting English cricket administrator and former player Angus Fraser MBE. I wish I could have taken some of my team with me; it would have been a dream come true for our Creation cricket fans! (We have had a few of the greats in our Tasting Room at Creation, which is also always a highlight for the team.)

At tastings such as these, I often sneak in two bottles of Art of Creation that are then auctioned for good causes such as Pebbles or the Atlas Foundation. The MCC is doing exceptional work through its Foundation, empowering boys and girls by providing free coaching and match play around the world.

Grape Unveiling – Hallgarten Tastings in London, Cambridge and Glasgow

Together with some stellar producers from around the world, we launched Creation with Hallgarten, our new UK agents. We were happy to see some old friends while making new ones among clients and the sales team. The people at Hallgarten are famous for their sustainability ethos and customer service culture, and there was plenty of engagement.

 Chef Ørjan Johannessen and Creation

A north-south collaboration meeting in the middle of the world and the one thing we are blessed with is the beauty of Nature in each place!

We are currently working from the Seychelles, on the island of Praslin, and on Monday , October 7, we had the pleasure of presenting our wines at Constance Lemuria’s DIVA restaurant with the expert team of sommeliers and chefs.

Ørjan Johannessen from Norway designed the menu and pairing, and it was outstanding. Just fantastic to see the exceptional experiences that Constance delivers to its guests from a beautiful tiny island. Worth a visit. We also presented a master class to the team of sommeliers who are mainly locals but also internationals, getting a great education through the range of extraordinary wines in their cellars, from visiting winemakers, and by travelling to wine destinations. The service could not be more welcoming and friendly, and just as a delightful as the vistas and perfect temperature of the cool blue ocean.
